Pricing Information

I price my work on a sliding scale at an hourly rate of $100-$130 per hour for tattoos lasting 1-2.5 hours, and $100-$110 for tattoos lasting 3+ hours (in one session). My appointment minimum is $150-$180. Tipping is not expected with my pricing structure. Please note that the top end of my sliding scale is considered my regular rate. The majority of my flash designs can be completed in 2-3 hours, while larger scale or more complex work varies a lot based on design, placement, and size and can take 3-5 hours+ to complete.

For Black and Indigenous folks who can’t afford my regular pricing, I offer a discounted rate of $80-90/hr and a $120-$140 minimum. Just mention this in your booking form if you’d like to use this rate!

Deposits are required and will count toward your total tattoo cost. For custom tattoos, some or all of the deposit will be applied as a drawing fee.

Please see the (non-exhaustive) guide below to help you decide where to pay on the scale. I encourage you to pay what feels right to you. I trust that my clients will respect the intention behind my pricing structure and make an informed decision using the guidance provided. I will not ask you to justify where you choose to pay on the scale.

Consider paying more on the scale if you:

  • Can regularly afford your basic needs

  • Have stable employment that pays a comfortable wage

  • Have savings, investment accounts, and/or inheritance

  • Have access to family money and resources in case of emergency

  • Travel recreationally or are traveling from out of town to get your tattoo

  • Have a relatively high degree of earning power due to education and work history, and/or privileges related to race, gender, cognitive and physical ability, etc.

  • Are not currently exercising your earning power by choice (i.e. not working or working part-time, by choice)

Consider paying less on the scale if you:

  • Sometimes or often struggle to meet your basic needs (food, housing, healthcare, transportation)

  • Experience violence, discrimination, systemic oppression, and/or been denied work due to racism, transphobia, homophobia, legal status, criminal history, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, or fatphobia

  • Are an unpaid community organizer

  • Support children or other dependents

  • Are eligible for/rely on public assistance such as SNAP
